A Wind-Powered Green Future for Lydney

Lydney Area in Partnership have planning permission to install an anemometer at the Horage Farm site for one year to collect wind speed data. The information gathered by the company Wind Prospect in Bristol will help determine the viability of the site for one large or two medium size wind turbines.

FAIRTIDE FUNDRAISER
On August 6th 2010 at 7pm the Fairtide Centre is holding a fund-raising event at Lydney Rugby Club. Fairtide is a day centre for adults with learning disabilities. The event includes a performance by the Forest of Dean Male Voice Choir and a ploughmans supper for £5.00 per head. Tickets are on sale at Meet & Greet, Fairtide Cafe, Lydney or please contact Fairtide on 01594 844636.
