A feasibility study into outpatients and physiotherapy facilities at Lydney Hospital
is being carried out to address the current and future health priorities of the local area.
As part of the Market and Coastal Towns Initiative (MCTi) £3,000 from the Lydney Area Partnership's quick win fund was spent on funding a feasibility study to address the current and future anticipated health priorities of the local area, with the Friends of Lydney Hospital, which will help mould future services offered at Lydney and District General Hospital.
The West Glos Primary Care Trust (PCT) wished specifically to develop a medium term (5 year) proposal to improve the Out Patient and Physiotherapy service at Lydney Hospital and to provide additional Theatre Diagnostic accommodation. The relocation of Stonebury House, and the demolition of Grove House, are central to the proposals within the feasibility study. An agreement between West Glos PCT and the Partnership Trust who own Stonebury House, is key to developing these proposals further.
Status available shortly along with a copy of the feasibility study for download.
